the surrounding villages to learn and participate in organised football. Founded in 1995, we operate on a completely voluntary basis and are run by enthusiastic parents. ![]() Image above shows the new club house at the Thistle Hill site. We have an established infrastructure in place to ensure continuity through all age groups and we run teams in organised Leagues from Under-8 through to Under-17 inclusively. We also have a Nursery section which provides coaching for children from as young as four years old before graduation to the Under-8's. In addition, we have Girls teams from Age 10 through to 16. |
Furthermore, we also have a senior team
in the Harrogate and District Saturday league. All age groups are run by Team Managers and Assistant Managers who have attended and passed the appropriate FA
Qualification requirements. This includes not just coaching but also First Aid and
Child Protection courses. Additionally, all age groups have a Parents Representative
and anyone connected with the club - players (and their parents), coaches, league
officials - are required to adhere to a published Code of Conduct. |

Under 15′s Cup Success Knaresborough Celtic Under 15′s finally got their hands on a trophy after two previous cup final defeats, beating Beckwithshaw Bulls 2–1 after extra time. The Bulls took a first half lead, but Celtic came back stong to lift a trophy against their closest rivals.Bulls Goalkeeper saved a Tom Lee penalty before Tom headed home to equalise before half time. Competitive throughout, Bulls had a greater share of possession however the second half remained goalless and extra time was required. Early in the second period of extra time Ryan Blair provided an inviting cross for Lewis Chadderton to score at the far post. Cue jubilaiton for the hoops! Celtic withstood the last few minutes of pressure from Beckwithshaw and the trophy was theirs. Final score – 2–1 a.e.t

Under 17′s Victorious in Styan Cup Final Congratulations to the Under 17s who came through a pulsating cup final to win the Styan Cup. After the Hoops dominated the first half, coming in 3–1 up, Pannal fought back with great determination to level the game in the 60th minute. However, Celtic then hit back, leading 4–3, a goal that looked certain to seal the tie. However, Pannal came back just one minute later to level the game at 4–4. With tired legs and a desire to win, both teams flooded forward, leaving the game wide open. In the dying minutes it was Celtic who struck for Victory. With a clearance falling at the feet of Chris Fairhurst, it was a wonder strike, fitting of winning a cup final, that flew in from 20 yards and ensured victory for the Mighty Bhoys. Congratulations to the boys and management.
